Walking
From the center of Gabrovo, head towards the main street, ul. Sava Mutkurova. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with ul. Hristo Botev. Turn right onto ul. Hristo Botev and continue walking. After approximately 1 km, you will see a sign for a bus stop. Here, you can catch a local bus to Veliko Tarnovo. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Veliko Tarnovo, you will need to walk to the Trapezitsa Fortress. From the bus station, head southeast on ul. A. Zhendov. Continue straight until you reach the main road, ul. Trapezitsa. After approximately 1 km, you will reach the entrance to Trapezitsa Fortress, which is located on a hill with beautiful views.

Public Transport
Start at the Gabrovo bus station. Purchase a ticket for Veliko Tarnovo. Buses run frequently, so check the schedule for your preferred departure time. The journey to Veliko Tarnovo takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Veliko Tarnovo bus station, exit and walk towards the main street, ul. A. Zhendov. Turn left and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with ul. Trapezitsa. Follow ul. Trapezitsa uphill for approximately 1 km until you arrive at the Trapezitsa Fortress entrance.
