If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Smolyan. Take the E80 road towards Dospat. Continue on this road for approximately 28 km until you reach the town of Dospat. Once in Dospat, follow the signs for the Dospat Reservoir. The reservoir is located just a few kilometers from the town center. Look for a turnoff leading to the reservoir, which will be on your right. There is no entrance fee to access the reservoir.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Smolyan to Dospat. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes around 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Dospat, you can either walk or take a taxi to the reservoir, which is about 5 km from the bus station. Taxis are readily available and should cost around 10 BGN (Bulgarian Lev).
