From Rila, drive towards Samokov. Take the E79 highway heading north. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Malyovitsa, which is well-signposted. Follow the winding road for about 12 km until you reach the Malyovitsa parking area. There are no tolls on this route, but be mindful of the road conditions as they can vary.

Start at the bus station in Rila. Take a bus to Samokov, which runs frequently throughout the day. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once in Samokov, you will need to switch to a local minibus that goes directly to Malyovitsa. The minibus departs from the central bus station and operates once every hour or so.
