Car

From Rila, drive towards Samokov. Take the E79 highway heading north. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Malyovitsa, which is well-signposted. Follow the winding road for about 12 km until you reach the Malyovitsa parking area. There are no tolls on this route, but be mindful of the road conditions as they can vary.

Public Transportation

Start at the bus station in Rila. Take a bus to Samokov, which runs frequently throughout the day. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once in Samokov, you will need to switch to a local minibus that goes directly to Malyovitsa. The minibus departs from the central bus station and operates once every hour or so. The total cost for the bus to Samokov is around 3 BGN, and the minibus to Malyovitsa costs approximately 5 BGN. Make sure to check the timetable as it may change.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Rila to Malyovitsa. You can arrange for a taxi at your accommodation or find one at the bus station. The taxi ride takes about 30 minutes and will cost around 30-50 BGN depending on the time of day and negotiation. This is the most convenient option if you're traveling in a group.
