From Sofia, take the E79 (A3) highway south towards Kulata. Exit at Kocherinovo and follow the III-107 road towards Rila and the Rila Monastery. The drive is approximately 120 km and takes about 1.5 - 2 hours. Parking is available near the monastery for 5 BGN. Free parking is available on the side of the road before the parking lot.

Alternatively, you can take a bus from Sofia to Rila and then another bus or taxi to the Monastery.
