Car
From Rila Monastery, head southeast on Road 62. Continue on Road 62 for about 23 km until you reach the town of Smolyan. Once in Smolyan, follow signs for Trigrad. Take the road leading to Trigrad village, which is approximately 18 km from Smolyan. After arriving in Trigrad, follow the signs to the Trigrad Gorge parking area. There may be a small parking fee, usually around 3-5 BGN.

Public Transportation
From Rila, take a bus to Smolyan. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Smolyan, you can catch another bus to Trigrad, which runs several times a day. The travel time from Smolyan to Trigrad is about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Trigrad, you can either walk to the gorge, which is about a 15-minute stroll, or take a taxi if you prefer a quicker option. Be prepared to pay around 10-15 BGN for the taxi.
