By Car
If you are driving from central Sofia, head southwest on Vitosha Blvd towards Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. Continue on Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd and merge onto Bulgaria Blvd. Follow Bulgaria Blvd and take the exit towards the Ring Road (Обходен път). After about 5 km, take the exit towards Boyana and follow the signs for Boyana. Turn left onto ul. Vitoshko lale. The National Museum of History will be on your right at ul. Vitoshko lale 16. Parking is available near the museum, but be aware that there may be a fee.

By Public Transportation
To reach the National Museum of History by public transport, take Metro Line 1 (the red line) from any metro station in Sofia to the 'Vitosha' station. From there, you can take bus 64 or 93 towards Boyana. Get off at the 'Boyana' stop, and from there, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the museum. Follow the signs toward ul. Vitoshko lale.
