If you are driving, start from the town of Shumen, which is about 20 kilometers south of the Madara Horseman. Take the road heading east towards Madara (Road 4). After approximately 20 minutes, you will see the signs for Madara Horseman. Follow the signs to the parking area, which is located a short walk from the entrance of the site. Parking fees are approximately 2 BGN.

From Shumen, you can take a local bus to Madara. Buses leave from the central bus station in Shumen and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus timetable, as it may vary throughout the week. The fare should be around 2-3 BGN. Once you arrive in Madara, follow the signs to the Madara Horseman, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
