Getting There

    From the city center of Bujumbura, rent a bicycle and head towards Avenue de la Réunification. Continue straight on this avenue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with R.N.4. Turn right onto R.N.4 and follow this road for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the direction to Rusizi National Park. The park entrance will be on your left, look for the J7X7+FHR marker.

    If you prefer to walk, start from Place de l'Indépendance in Bujumbura. Head south towards Avenue de la Réunification and walk for about 5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with R.N.4, turn right and continue walking for another 10 kilometers. Look for the directional signs to Rusizi National Park. The entrance will be on your left, marked by the J7X7+FHR location.

  • Public Transport (Minibus)

    From the city center, head to the nearest minibus station. Look for a minibus heading towards Kinyinya or Rusizi. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you want to go to Rusizi National Park. The journey should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
