Getting There

Car
If you are driving from the main entrance of Kigwena National Reserve, head southwest on the main park road towards R.N.3. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with R.N.3 Rumonge Highway. Turn left onto R.N.3 and continue for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Kagongo. Look for signage indicating Sunstone Beach, which will be on your right. Ensure to keep your speed in check as the road can be busy, and watch for pedestrians.

Public Transportation
From the main entrance of Kigwena National Reserve, you can take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Rumonge. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Kagongo. The journey may take around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kagongo, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to Sunstone Beach, which is about 2 kilometers away from the bus drop-off point. Make sure to have some local currency on hand for the bus fare and the taxi.
