Getting There

Car

From central Makamba, head southwest on Avenue du 1er Novembre towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1.5 km. After reaching the intersection with RN4, turn left onto RN4. Follow RN4 for approximately 20 km until you see the sign for Rusizi National Park. The entrance is located at coordinates -3.3441, 29.2790. Be aware that road conditions may vary, and it's advisable to check the weather before your trip.
Public Transportation (Bus)

Start at the Makamba bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Bujumbura, which will make a stop near Kinyinya. The fare is generally around 2,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). Once you are on the bus, inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Rusizi National Park stop. After disembarking, you may need to walk approximately 1 km to the park entrance. It's recommended to confirm the stop with the driver before getting on.
Taxi
