    Starting from the center of Makamba, head southeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with R.N.15. Turn left onto R.N.15 and continue for approximately 8 kilometers. You will pass through Gishora village. Look for the signs indicating Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located at JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15. There is usually no parking fee, but keep some cash for potential entry fees.

    From the center of Makamba, take a minibus (commonly referred to as 'taxi-brousse') heading towards Gitega or Rutana. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they stop at Gishora. The fare is generally around 1,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). After about 30 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at Gishora village. From there, it’s a short walk (about 500 meters) to the Gishora Drum Sanctuary located at JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15. Keep some cash on hand for any entry fees.
