    If you are driving from the center of Makamba, head north on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 20 kilometers until you reach the outskirts of Bujumbura. Upon entering Bujumbura, follow signs for Avenue de la République. As you approach the city center, take a left onto Avenue des États-Unis. Continue straight until you reach the Rweza neighborhood. The Unity Monument is located at J94Q+R94 in Rweza. There is parking available near the monument; however, you may need to pay a small fee.

    To reach the Unity Monument using public transport, start by taking a shared taxi (commonly known as 'taxi-brousse') from Makamba to Bujumbura. These taxis usually depart from the main taxi rank in Makamba. The ride may cost around 2,000 BIF and take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Bujumbura, head to the central bus station. From there, take a local bus heading towards Rweza. The fare is usually about 500 BIF. Get off at the nearest stop to the monument and walk the remaining distance to J94Q+R94.
