Turn right onto a dirt road that leads to the falls. The parking area is located about 1 kilometer from the main road, and from there, it’s a short walk to the falls.

To reach Chutes de la Karera Falls using public transport, take a local bus from Bujumbura to the nearest town, which is Mihama. The bus ride takes about 30-45 minutes. Once in Mihama, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') for about 2,000 BIF (Burundian Francs) to take you directly to the falls. The ride is roughly 15 minutes, and the drivers are generally familiar with the area.
