Car
If you're driving, head towards the town of São Filipe, which is the capital of Fogo. From São Filipe, take the road heading east towards the village of Cova Figueira. Continue on this road, following the signs for Cova Figueira. Once you reach Cova Figueira, look for the signs pointing to La Fora Ecolodge. It is located approximately 15 km north of Cova Figueira. The drive may take around 30 to 40 minutes depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
To reach La Fora Ecolodge via public transport, take a 'almond' taxi (shared taxi) from São Filipe to Cova Figueira. These taxis usually leave from the main taxi rank in São Filipe. The fare is approximately 300 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudos) per person. Once you arrive in Cova Figueira, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to La Fora Ecolodge, which is about a 15-minute drive away. Be sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver before starting your journey.

If you are already in Cova Figueira and prefer to walk, head north from the village center towards the dirt road leading to La Fora Ecolodge. The walk is about 5 km and will take approximately 1.5 hours. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the terrain can be uneven and the sun can be strong.
