Start in Praia de Atalaia and head southeast on the main road, following signs towards Praia. After approximately 12 kilometers (about 15 minutes), you will reach the outskirts of Praia. Continue on the road until you reach the intersection with Avenida 5 de Julho. Turn right onto Avenida 5 de Julho and follow it for another 5 kilometers. As you approach the city center, look for signs directing you to Cova Figueira. You will find it located at coordinates 14.904063, -23.530022. There is no entry fee for accessing the beach.

From Praia de Atalaia, walk to the nearest bus stop to catch a 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) heading towards Praia. The fare is typically around 100 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo) per person. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Praia, get off at the main bus terminal and transfer to a local taxi or another 'Aluguer' heading towards Cova Figueira. The fare for this leg should be around 50 CVE. The destination is located at coordinates 14.904063, -23.530022.

If you are already in the vicinity of Praia and prefer walking, head towards Avenida 5 de Julho from any point in Praia. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers.
