Walking
Starting from the center of Santa Maria, walk towards the main road (Avenida 1 de Julho). Head east and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua 15 de Agosto. Turn left onto Rua 15 de Agosto. Continue walking until you reach the beach, then turn right to follow the coastline. Keep walking along the beach until you reach the Murdeira area. Calheta Funda is located in Murdeira, approximately a 30-40 minute walk from Santa Maria's main beach area.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Santa Maria. Start your ride on Avenida 1 de Julho heading east until you reach Rua 15 de Agosto. Turn left on Rua 15 de Agosto, and cycle towards the beach. Once you reach the beach, turn right and follow the coastline. Continue cycling until you reach Murdeira, where Calheta Funda is located. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
