    From any location in Santa Maria Beach, head north on the main road (Avenida 5 de Julho) towards the town center. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida dos Pescadores, which will lead you towards the outskirts of Santa Maria. Follow the road for about 3 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Salina' or 'Salt Flats.' Turn left onto Unnamed Road (J37V+3MQ) and continue for another kilometer. You will see the entrance to Salina on your left. Parking is usually available nearby.

    To reach Salina via public transportation, you can take a local minibus (known as 'almôndegas') from Santa Maria Beach to Espargos. These minibuses leave frequently from various points in Santa Maria, typically near the beach or the town center. The fare is around 100 CVE (Cape Verdean escudos). Once in Espargos, you can catch another minibus heading back towards Santa Maria, but make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Salina. The total travel time should be about 30-40 minutes, depending on stops and waiting times.
