If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the capital city of Santo Antão, Porto Novo. Head north on the main road (EN1-SA02) towards Ribeira Grande. Continue driving for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the town of Ribeira Grande. From there, take the road to Faja de Cima, which is well-marked. The road may be steep and winding, so drive carefully. Once you reach Faja de Cima, follow the signs to Vale do Paúl. The journey from Porto Novo to Vale do Paúl should take about 1 hour, depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
For those using public transport, start from Porto Novo and take a 'aluguer' (shared taxi) heading towards Ribeira Grande. The fare is usually around 150 CVE (Cabo Verdean escudo). Once in Ribeira Grande, you can catch another 'aluguer' to Faja de Cima. The fare for this leg is approximately 200 CVE. After reaching Faja de Cima, you may need to walk or hire a local taxi to get to Vale do Paúl, as it is approximately 3 km away. Ensure that you confirm the fare with the driver before starting your ride.
