  If you are driving, start by getting onto US-101 N or I-280 N depending on your starting location. Follow signs for San Francisco and take the exit for CA-1 N toward the Golden Gate Bridge. Once in San Francisco, continue on Lombard St and turn left onto Van Ness Ave. Follow Van Ness Ave and turn right onto California St. Continue straight until you reach Joice St. There is limited street parking available in the area, so be prepared to find a spot nearby.

  To reach Joice Street Steps via public transportation, you can take the Muni bus. Depending on your starting point, you can board either the 1-California, 2-Clement, or 3-Jackson bus lines. If you are near the Embarcadero, you can take the F-Line streetcar to the Powell St. Station. From there, transfer to the 1-California bus towards the Richmond District and get off at the stop for Joice St. The fare for a Muni bus ride is $3.00, and you can pay with cash or a Clipper card.
