Take the BART train from the downtown Berkeley station towards 'San Francisco/Daly City'. Get off at the 'Civic Center' station. After exiting the station, walk to the bus stop on McAllister Street and catch the Muni bus line 7 or 21 heading towards 'Haight Street'. Ride for about 10-15 minutes until you reach 'Haight St & Buena Vista Park'. The entrance to the park will be right at the intersection.
