Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the AC Transit bus line 51B towards 'San Francisco/Transbay'. Ride for about 30 minutes, and get off at the 'Haight St & Buena Vista Park' stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance to the corner of Buena Vista and Haight Street where the park entrance is located.

• BART and Bus

  Take the BART train from the downtown Berkeley station towards 'San Francisco/Daly City'. Get off at the 'Civic Center' station. After exiting the station, walk to the bus stop on McAllister Street and catch the Muni bus line 7 or 21 heading towards 'Haight Street'. Ride for about 10-15 minutes until you reach 'Haight St & Buena Vista Park'. The entrance to the park will be right at the intersection.

• Bike

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike share program available around Berkeley. Start from the downtown area and head southwest on Shattuck Avenue. Continue until you reach the intersection with Haight Street in San Francisco. Follow Haight Street until you reach Buena Vista Park. Be cautious of traffic and enjoy the ride!

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and up for a long walk, you can start from downtown Berkeley and head southwest toward the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Walk across the bridge, then continue heading west toward Golden Gate Park. From there, navigate to Haight Street, where you will find Buena Vista Park at the intersection of Buena Vista and Haight Street. This route will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
