Bus
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave & University Ave. Take the AC Transit Bus 72 toward San Francisco. Get off at the stop at the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center. From there, walk toward the Crissy Field entrance, which is a short 10-minute walk. Follow the signs toward Crissy Field.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in downtown Berkeley. Head west on University Ave, which will take you directly to the Bay Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the Presidio of San Francisco, and then follow the signs to Crissy Field. It’s approximately a 5-mile ride with scenic views.

Head west on Bancroft Way until you reach Shattuck Ave. From there, turn right and walk north until you reach University Ave. Continue west on University Ave until you reach the Bay Trail. Once you reach the trail, follow it along the waterfront to Crissy Field. This walk is about 6 miles and offers beautiful views of the Bay.
