From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave and University Ave. Take the AC Transit bus line 7 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Market St & 11th St' stop. Walk south on 11th St towards Market St, then turn left onto Market St. After a couple of blocks, turn right onto Hayes St. Continue walking until you reach Hayes Valley.

Make your way to the nearest BART station, which is the Downtown Berkeley station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the 'Civic Center/UN Plaza' station.
