    Getting There

    Bus

    From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave and University Ave. Take the AC Transit bus line 7 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Market St & 11th St' stop. Walk south on 11th St towards Market St, then turn left onto Market St. After a couple of blocks, turn right onto Hayes St. Continue walking until you reach Hayes Valley.

    BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)

    Make your way to the nearest BART station, which is the Downtown Berkeley station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the 'Civic Center/UN Plaza' station. Exit the station and head east on McAllister St. Turn left onto Larkin St, then turn right onto Hayes St. Continue walking until you arrive at Hayes Valley.

    Walking

    If you are in the Berkeley area and would like to take a scenic route, you can walk directly to Hayes Valley. Start at the UC Berkeley campus and walk down Telegraph Ave towards downtown. Once you reach the intersection with Shattuck Ave, turn left.
