If you are starting from downtown Berkeley, head east on University Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Shattuck Avenue. Turn left onto Shattuck Avenue and walk for about 0.5 miles. You will then reach the entrance to the Berkeley Marina. Follow the signs to the Marina, and once you are there, look for the Miwok Trail entrance which is located along the waterfront. It's a lovely walk with views of the bay!

From downtown Berkeley, you can take the AC Transit Bus 72 or 72M from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. Board the bus heading towards 'San Pablo & Ashby' or 'El Cerrito del Norte BART'. Get off at the 'Marina' stop. Once you disembark, follow the path towards the water, and look for signs directing you to the Miwok Trail. The trailhead is located near the shoreline, and you'll enjoy a beautiful view as you walk towards it.

If you prefer biking, there are bike rental stations available in downtown Berkeley. Rent a bike and head east on University Avenue, then turn south onto Marina Boulevard.
