From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop on Shattuck Ave. Catch the AC Transit Bus 51B towards 'San Francisco' and ride for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Balboa Park BART' station. From there, transfer to the Muni Bus 43 towards 'Excelsior'. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at 'San Leandro Way'. The Gregangelo Museum is a short walk from the bus stop.
BART and Bus
Head to the nearest BART station in Berkeley, which is the 'Downtown Berkeley' station. Take the BART train towards 'Millbrae'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Balboa Park' station. Exit the station and catch Muni Bus 43 towards 'Excelsior'. Ride it for 10 minutes, then get off at 'San Leandro Way'. The museum will be a brief walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you are comfortable riding a bike, you can rent one from a local bike rental shop in Berkeley. Start your ride on University Ave heading west. Continue onto the bike path towards the Golden Gate Park area. Eventually, follow the signs leading towards Balboa Terrace. The ride is about 5 miles and should take around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Once you reach San Leandro Way, the Gregangelo Museum will be nearby.
Walking
If you prefer walking and are staying in the lower part of Berkeley, you can make your way through the city streets. Head south on Telegraph Ave toward Ashby Ave. Continue on Ashby Ave until you reach Mission St. Turn right and walk along Mission St until you reach Balboa Park. It’s about a 2-hour walk, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated as you enjoy the sights along the way.
