Getting There

    From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop for AC Transit Route 51A or 51B. Board the bus heading towards the 'Alameda Point' or 'Bay Farm Island'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Main St. & W. Hornet Ave.' stop. From there, walk west on W. Hornet Ave for about 5 minutes until you reach the USS Hornet at 707 W Hornet Ave.

    You can rent a bicycle from one of the many bike-sharing services available in Berkeley. Start by heading south on Shattuck Ave, then take a left on 40th St. Continue until you reach the Bay Trail. Follow the Bay Trail towards Alameda, which will lead you directly to Alameda Point. Once you reach W. Hornet Ave, turn left and ride for about 10 minutes to reach the USS Hornet.

  • Walking

    If you're up for a longer walk, start at the Berkeley Marina. Walk along the shoreline path towards the Bay Trail, which will take you towards Alameda. Continue on the trail until you cross the bridge into Alameda. Once in Alameda, follow the signs towards the USS Hornet, which is about a 30-40 minute walk from the bridge. You will arrive at 707 W Hornet Ave.
