From your current location in Danville, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the Route 2 bus heading towards the Danville Transit Center. Once at the transit center, transfer to the Route 3 bus towards the South Boston area. Disembark at the stop nearest to the intersection of Main St and Walnut St. From there, walk to the Danville Amtrak Station, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Take the Amtrak train heading towards Richmond. Once you arrive at the Oakland station, follow the signs to the local bus services, and take any bus that heads towards Jack London Square. Get off at the stop nearest to 48 Webster St.

If you're up for a ride, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start at the Danville Riverwalk Trail, which connects to several neighborhoods. Cycle along the trail until you reach the intersection with Main St. Continue down Main St until you see signs for the Danville Amtrak Station. Park your bike securely at the station, then board the Amtrak train heading to Richmond. Upon arriving in Oakland, follow the signs to local bike share programs, if available, or walk to Jack London Square. It's a scenic area, and the views are worth the effort!
