Getting There

• Public Transit

  To reach Merritt Mausoleum from downtown Berkeley, start by walking to the nearest AC Transit bus stop. Take the 40 or 43 bus towards 'Oakland.' Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the 'Broadway & 40th St' stop in Oakland. From there, transfer to the 12 bus towards 'San Leandro.' Ride until you get off at 'High St & 38th Ave.' After disembarking, walk up High St towards the hills for approximately 20 minutes until you reach Millionaires Row, where the mausoleum is located. Follow the signs to Merritt Mausoleum.

• Bicycle

  If you're biking from Berkeley, head south on Telegraph Ave towards Oakland. Follow Telegraph until it merges with 40th St, which will lead you into Oakland. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and ride for about 1 mile. Turn right onto High St and ride uphill for another mile. Merritt Mausoleum is located on Millionaires Row, which you can access after a short uphill ride.

• Walking

  For a walking route from downtown Berkeley, start at the Berkeley Public Library on Shattuck Ave. Head south on Shattuck until you reach University Ave, then turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with 40th St. Cross the intersection and follow 40th St as it leads you into Oakland. Once you reach Broadway, turn left and walk until you get to High St. Turn right on High St and walk uphill for approximately 20 minutes until you arrive at Millionaires Row, where Merritt Mausoleum is located.
