Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from downtown Berkeley, head east on University Avenue. Continue walking straight for about 0.6 miles until you reach the intersection with Telegraph Avenue. Turn left onto Telegraph Avenue and continue for another 0.3 miles. You will see the entrance to the UC Berkeley campus on your right. Enter the campus and proceed straight along the main path, past the Campanile (the bell tower). Sather Gate will be directly ahead, marking the entrance to the central campus area.

From the Berkeley Public Library on Shattuck Avenue, head east on Center Street for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Telegraph Avenue and walk for a quarter of a mile. Enter the UC Berkeley campus at the entrance on your right. Walk straight along the main pathway, passing the Campanile. Sather Gate will be in front of you as you approach the heart of the campus.

Public Transit (Bus)
If you are near the Berkeley BART station, take the AC Transit Bus #51B heading towards the UC Berkeley campus. Get off at the 'University Ave: Oxford St.' stop. From there, walk east on University Avenue, turning right onto Telegraph Avenue. Enter the campus entrance on your right. Continue straight along the central path, and Sather Gate will be directly ahead.

If you have a bike, start from downtown Berkeley and head east on University Avenue. Continue for about 0.6 miles, then turn left onto Telegraph Avenue.
