Walking from Big Sur Station
Start at Big Sur Station, located at 46840 CA-1, Big Sur, CA 93920. Head south on CA-1 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park on your left. Continue along the main road leading into the park. Once inside, look for the signs directing you to the Big Sur River Gorge trails. Follow the trail markers to navigate through the park's lush surroundings. The hike to the gorge will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Keep an eye out for beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way.
Hiking from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park
If you are already at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, begin your hike from the park entrance. Follow the signs for the River Trail, which is well-marked.
