If you are starting from the Big Sur River Inn, head south on CA-1 for about 2 miles. There will be a sign for Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. Continue walking along the highway until you reach the entrance to the reserve. Be cautious of traffic.

From the Big Sur Campground and Cabins, walk north on the Pine Creek Road and follow it until you reach the main CA-1 highway. Turn left onto CA-1 and walk south for approximately 3.5 miles. Keep an eye out for the Point Lobos entrance on your left.

If you are near the Big Sur Village area, you can catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus (Line 22). Board the bus heading south towards Carmel. Get off at the Point Lobos stop, which is about 8 miles from Big Sur. Walk a short distance to the park entrance.
