If you're starting from the Big Sur River Inn, exit the inn and head south on Highway 1 for about 0.3 miles. As you walk, enjoy the beautiful views of the river and mountains. Once you reach the intersection with Pine Ridge Trail, turn left onto Pine Ridge Trail. Continue walking on this trail for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Look for the sign indicating you have arrived at the park. The total walking distance is around 1.3 miles.

From the Big Sur Campground, head west on the campground road to reach Highway 1. Turn left onto Highway 1 and ride south for about 1 mile. You will pass by the Big Sur River Inn on your right. Continue to the Pine Ridge Trail intersection, then turn left onto Pine Ridge Trail. Follow this trail for approximately 1 mile until you see the sign for Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. The total biking distance is approximately 2.1 miles.

If you're using the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) public bus service, take Route 22 from Carmel to Big Sur. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Big Sur Ranger Station stop. From there, walk south on Highway 1 for about 0.5 miles until you reach Pine Ridge Trail. Turn left onto Pine Ridge Trail and walk for another 1 mile to arrive at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. The total distance from the bus stop to the park is approximately 1.5 miles.
