From the Santa Monica Pier, head east on Colorado Avenue until you reach 4th Street. Turn left onto 4th Street and continue walking until you reach Wilshire Boulevard. From there, take the Big Blue Bus line 1 towards Downtown Los Angeles. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Sunset Boulevard and Silver Lake Boulevard. Once you get off, head northeast on Silver Lake Boulevard for about 15 minutes until you reach the Corralitas Red Car Trail entrance.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Santa Monica. Start at the Santa Monica Bike Path and head east towards Los Angeles. Follow the bike path along the beach until you reach the end at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Sunset Boulevard. From there, continue northeast on Sunset Boulevard for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Silver Lake Boulevard. Turn left onto Silver Lake Boulevard and the Corralitas Red Car Trail entrance will be on your right.
