If you're starting from the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, head southeast on Ocean Avenue towards the intersection with San Carlos Street. Turn right onto San Carlos Street and continue until you reach 9th Avenue. Turn left onto 9th Avenue and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Mission Street. Continue straight, and after a few blocks, you will find the entrance to Mission Trail Park on your left, just past the intersection with 11th Avenue.

From downtown Carmel, you can rent a bike and head south on Ocean Avenue. When you reach San Carlos Street, turn right and follow it down to 9th Avenue.
