From Castro Valley, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the AC Transit Bus Line 33 towards Hayward. Ride the bus until you reach the Hayward BART station. Once at BART, purchase a ticket to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. Upon arrival at Embarcadero, transfer to the Muni Metro. Take the Muni N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach and get off at the Montgomery St. station. From there, walk to the Ferry Building and catch the ferry to Alcatraz Island.
