Public Transit - Bus
Start at the Castro Valley BART Station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco (Direction: San Francisco/Daly City). Get off at the Embarcadero Station. From there, transfer to Muni bus #5 (Fulton) at the Embarcadero. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Stanyan St & Fulton St. From the bus stop, walk into Golden Gate Park, which is directly across the street.
Public Transit - BART and Muni
Begin your journey at the Castro Valley BART Station. Board a BART train heading towards San Francisco, specifically to the Montgomery St Station. Once you arrive, transfer to the Muni N-Judah line at the Montgomery St Station. Ride until you reach the stop at Judah St & 9th Ave. From there, walk east for about 10 minutes to enter Golden Gate Park.
Walking and Biking
If you prefer to walk or bike, start at the Castro Valley downtown area and head towards the nearest BART station. From there, take a train to the nearest San Francisco station. After disembarking, rent a bike at a local bike-sharing station or walk to Golden Gate Park, which is a short distance away from any downtown area in San Francisco.
