Public Bus
From Castro Valley, head to the Castro Valley BART station. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Montgomery St. station. From there, transfer to the Muni bus line 5 (Fulton). Board the bus and ride until you reach the stop at Martin Luther King Jr. Dr & Stow Lake Dr. From the bus stop, walk west on Martin Luther King Jr. Dr for about 5 minutes to reach Shakespeare Garden, located at 335 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, San Francisco, CA 94118.
Bicycle
From Castro Valley, you can rent a bike at a local rental shop. Head towards the Hayward BART station and take the BART train towards San Francisco. Get off at the Montgomery St. station. Upon exiting, follow the bike lanes towards Golden Gate Park. Continue on Fell St and then take a left on Stanyan St. Follow Stanyan until you reach the entrance to Golden Gate Park. Once in the park, navigate towards Martin Luther King Jr. Dr, and you will find Shakespeare Garden at 335 Martin Luther King Jr Dr.
Walking
If you are able to walk long distances, you can start at the Castro Valley BART station. Walk to the nearest bus stop for the 29 bus line that heads towards the East Bay. Ride the bus to the Ashby BART station in Berkeley. From Ashby, take the BART train to Montgomery St. in San Francisco. After exiting the BART, walk towards Golden Gate Park. Head west on Fulton St and enter the park. Follow the signs to Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Walk along the road until you reach Shakespeare Garden at 335 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, San Francisco, CA 94118.
