If you're driving from anywhere in Central Coast, first get onto US-101 N. Continue on US-101 N for approximately 120 miles. Take exit 523A toward I-5 N/Sacramento and merge onto I-5 N. Continue on I-5 N for about 70 miles. Take exit 519A for CA-160 N toward Sacramento. Merge onto CA-160 N and continue for approximately 10 miles. Finally, take the exit onto J St and turn right onto O St. The California Museum will be on your left at 1020 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814. Parking may be available nearby, but check for any fees associated with parking in the area.

To reach California Museum via public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus from various locations in Central Coast to Sacramento. Once in Sacramento, you will likely arrive at the Greyhound station located at 4200 T St. From there, you can take the Sacramento Regional Transit light rail. Board the Blue Line light rail train towards Watt/I-80. Get off at the 8th & O St station. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the museum. Head west on O St, and you will find the California Museum at 1020 O St. Be sure to check the current bus and light rail schedules for exact departure and arrival times.
