If you're traveling by car, head towards I-5 S or US-101 S from your location in Central Coast. Depending on your starting point, merge onto US-101 S and continue for approximately 150 miles. Take the exit for CA-1 S towards Santa Monica. Once on CA-1 S, continue following the signs for Santa Monica and Venice. Exit at Venice Boulevard and turn left. Continue straight until you reach the Venice Canals at 33.9833582 latitude and -118.4675949 longitude. Parking is available in the area, but be aware that parking fees may apply, usually around $1-$2 per hour.

To reach the Venice Canals using public transportation, start by taking a bus or train to Santa Monica. From the Central Coast, you can take Amtrak or Greyhound to reach Santa Monica. Once in Santa Monica, transfer to the Metro 33 bus towards Venice. The bus will take you directly to the Venice Canals area.
