From the center of Chula Vista, head to the nearest bus stop on Third Avenue. Take the MTS Route 701 towards San Ysidro. Transfer at the 'H Street Transit Center' to Route 215 towards La Jolla. Get off at the stop 'Prospect St & Nautilus St.' and walk west on Prospect St for about 5 minutes until you reach La Jolla Recreation Center at 615 Prospect St.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Chula Vista Marina. Head north on Marina Parkway, then turn right onto E St. Continue straight to connect to the Bayshore Bikeway. Follow the bikeway north until you reach the La Jolla Cove area, then navigate to Prospect St. You will find the La Jolla Recreation Center located at 615 Prospect St after a short ride.

If you are near the Chula Vista Mall, start your walk by heading north on Broadway. Continue until you reach H St and turn left. Walk until you reach the 'H Street Transit Center' and then cross the street to catch the bus to La Jolla. Alternatively, if you prefer walking, it would be a long trek of about 12 miles, primarily along the coastline. Head northwest on H St, continue through the neighborhoods until you reach La Jolla.
