  • Car

    If you're driving to Windansea Beach, start on I-5 South. Take exit 26 for La Jolla Parkway. Continue onto La Jolla Parkway and follow signs for La Jolla Cove. Merge onto Torrey Pines Road and then turn left onto Prospect Street. Continue straight onto La Jolla Boulevard. After a few miles, turn left onto Windansea Beach Drive. Look for parking options along the street or at nearby lots. Note that parking may have a fee, usually around $1-$2 per hour.

    To reach Windansea Beach using public transportation, board the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus route 30 or 34 at a nearby bus stop. If you're coming from downtown San Diego, take the 30 bus which will take you directly to La Jolla. Get off at the La Jolla Village Drive & Torrey Pines Road stop. From there, transfer to the 34 bus heading towards La Jolla. Get off at the stop closest to Windansea Beach. The beach is a short walk from the bus stop. A one-way fare is approximately $2.50.
