    Getting There

    Bicycle

    If you're starting from the center of Coronado, rent a bicycle from any local rental shop. Take Orange Avenue heading north until you reach the Coronado Bridge. Once you cross the bridge, continue straight onto 4th Avenue, then make a left onto Camino Del Mar. Follow this road until you reach Del Mar, which is approximately 20 miles away. The ride will take about an hour, but you can enjoy beautiful views along the way.

    Public Bus

    From anywhere in Coronado, find your way to the nearest bus stop. You will take the MTS Route 901, which can take you to the San Diego area. Get off at the stop closest to the San Diego Transit Center. From there, transfer to the North County Transit District's Coaster train heading north towards Oceanside. Get off at the Del Mar station. Walk 10 minutes west toward the beach to reach the heart of Del Mar.

    Walking

    If you are staying in a central area of Coronado, you can walk to the ferry landing at the end of 1st Street. Take the ferry to downtown San Diego. From the ferry landing, walk to the Santa Fe Depot and catch the Coaster train heading north. Get off at the Del Mar station. Once you arrive, it's a pleasant 15-minute walk to the beach area in Del Mar.
