Driving
From Interstate 5, exit at Del Mar Heights Road or Via De La Valle and head west. Del Mar Heights Road leads to the south end of Del Mar, while Via De La Valle meets Coast Highway on the north end. Parking can be found at the Del Mar Civic Center (free), Del Mar Plaza (paid), or metered parking throughout the village. Expect to pay $4.12 per hour at metered spots.
Public Transport
The North County Transit District (NCTD) BREEZE bus Route 101 serves Del Mar. From Solana Beach Station (served by Coaster and Amtrak), take the BREEZE bus south. A single ride on the BREEZE costs around $2.50. The bus stops along Camino Del Mar, providing access to the village and beaches.
Walking
If you are already in the Del Mar Village, the beach is easily accessible on foot. Follow the numbered streets west towards the ocean. Powerhouse Park and Seagrove Park are located near the 15th Street surf break, providing easy access to the beach and picnic areas.
