Public Bus
From Daly City, walk to the Daly City BART station located at 1001 Bahnhof St, Daly City, CA 94014. Take the BART train towards San Francisco and get off at the Embarcadero station. Once there, transfer to the Muni bus line 8 or 8X towards Bayview Hunters Point. Get off at the stop at Embarcadero & Bay St. From there, it's a short walk to Pier 33, where you can catch a ferry to Alcatraz Island.

Start at the Daly City BART station. Board a train towards San Francisco and get off at the Montgomery St. station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Embarcadero waterfront. Follow signs to Pier 33, which is a 10-15 minute walk. At Pier 33, purchase your ferry tickets to Alcatraz Island and enjoy the ride over.

From anywhere in Daly City, make your way to the nearest bus stop for SamTrans route 120 or 130. Take the bus towards San Francisco and get off at the stop at Mission St & 1st St. Walk towards the waterfront, following signs to Pier 33, which should take about 10 minutes. At Pier 33, you will find the ferry service to Alcatraz Island.
