Bus
From Hayward, head to the Hayward Transit Center located at 1001 B Street. Board the AC Transit Line 60 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Golden Gate Park'. From there, you can transfer to the N-Judah Muni Line heading towards 'Ocean Beach'. Get off at the 'Carl & Stanyan' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Haight-Ashbury. Just follow Haight Street west for about 10 minutes until you reach the heart of the Haight-Ashbury district.
BART and Muni
Walk to the Hayward BART station located at 699 B Street. Take the BART train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the 'Civic Center' station. Once you exit the station, transfer to Muni's N-Judah light rail line at the Civic Center Metro station. Board the N-Judah towards 'Ocean Beach'. Get off at 'Carl & Stanyan' station. Walk west along Haight Street for about 10 minutes until you arrive in Haight-Ashbury.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Hayward. Start at the Hayward City Hall and head north. Follow the bike paths to connect to the Bay Trail heading towards Oakland. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the bridge leading to San Francisco. Once across the bridge, follow the signs directing you to Haight-Ashbury. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed.
