From Hayward BART station, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the West Oakland station. Transfer to the 20 bus towards Alameda. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Alameda Main St & Lincoln Ave' stop. From there, walk west on Lincoln Ave until you reach W Hornet Ave. Turn left on W Hornet Ave, and you will find the USS Hornet - Sea, Air and Space Museum at 707 W Hornet Ave.

From Hayward, take a bus to the Hayward BART station. From the station, take the BART train to Embarcadero station. Transfer to the ferry at the nearby Ferry Building that goes to Alameda. Once you arrive at the Alameda ferry terminal, walk northwest towards W Hornet Ave. Turn left onto W Hornet Ave, and the USS Hornet - Sea, Air and Space Museum will be on your left.
