Take the OC Bus Route 86 towards the Irvine Transportation Center. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at Barranca Pkwy and San Joaquin Hills Rd. From there, walk south on Barranca Pkwy for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance to the IRWD San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary on Riparian View.

    If you prefer cycling, you can start at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Head south on Campus Dr towards University Dr. Turn left onto University Dr and continue until you reach Michelson Dr. Take a right onto Michelson Dr and continue straight until you reach Barranca Pkwy. Turn left on Barranca Pkwy and ride for about 10 minutes. The sanctuary's entrance will be on your right at 5 Riparian View.

    If you are near the Irvine Civic Center, you can walk to the sanctuary. Head east on Alton Pkwy for about 15 minutes until you reach Barranca Pkwy.
