Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center located at 6554 Park Blvd, Joshua Tree, CA 92252. From the Visitor Center, head south on Park Blvd for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 62. Cross carefully and continue straight onto the dirt path leading into the Joshua Tree area. After about 0.7 miles, you will reach the junction with Sunburst Ave. Turn left onto Sunburst Ave, and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. At the next intersection, turn right onto La Loma Rd. Walk for another 0.3 miles until you reach a fork; take the left path which leads you directly towards the Planar Pavilions.

    If you are renting a bike, start at the Joshua Tree Visitor Center. Ride south on Park Blvd for about 0.3 miles then turn left onto Highway 62. Follow the bike lane for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Sunburst Ave and continue for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn right onto La Loma Rd. Ride for another 0.3 miles and when you reach the fork, take the left path to arrive at Planar Pavilions.
