From La Jolla Cove, head east on Coast Blvd toward Caves Beach. Continue on Coast Blvd until you reach the intersection with Prospect St. Turn left onto Prospect St and walk until you reach Girard Ave. Turn right onto Girard Ave and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Torrey Pines Rd. Turn left onto Torrey Pines Rd and walk straight. After about 1.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with El Prado. Turn right onto El Prado, and the Botanical Building will be on your left at 1550 El Prado.

From the nearest bus stop in La Jolla (e.g., on the corner of Girard Ave and Pearl St), take the bus route 30 heading toward Downtown San Diego. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at 6th Ave & Ash St. From there, walk east on Ash St until you reach the intersection with 6th Ave. Turn left onto 6th Ave and continue walking until you reach the entrance to Balboa Park at Laurel St. Enter the park, and walk straight until you see El Prado. The Botanical Building will be on your right at 1550 El Prado.
