To get to Strand Beach from central La Jolla, start at the La Jolla Village Square (located at 8657 Villa La Jolla Dr). From there, catch the Bus Route 30 towards Oceanside. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes and get off at the 'Oceanside Transit Center' stop. After disembarking, transfer to the Breeze Bus Route 101 heading towards 'Oceanside'. Ride for one stop and get off at 'The Strand N'. Strand Beach will be just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bike in La Jolla. Start at La Jolla Cove and head north on Coast Blvd, which turns into N. Pacific Coast Hwy. Follow the route for about 7 miles, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. Once you reach Oceanside, continue on The Strand N. Strand Beach will be directly ahead, and you can lock your bike at designated bike racks.
