Walking
From La Jolla Cove, head east on Prospect St toward Girard Ave. Continue straight onto Girard Ave. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Torrey Pines Rd. Walk for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Clairemont Dr. Turn right onto Clairemont Dr and continue walking for approximately 1 mile. The trail to Selwyn Monument starts at Marian Bear Memorial Natural Park. Look for the entrance on your left.
Public Transit
From La Jolla Village Square, take the MTS bus route 30 towards Downtown San Diego. Get off at the stop at Clairemont Dr & Balboa Ave (about a 20-minute ride). Walk north on Clairemont Dr for about 0.5 miles, then turn left into the entrance of Marian Bear Memorial Natural Park. Follow the park trail to reach Selwyn Monument.
