If driving from the I-5, exit onto CA-52 East. Take the Genesee Avenue exit and turn left (north). The park entrance will be on your left shortly after crossing under the CA-52. Parking is free at the Genesee Avenue entrance. Note that parking can be limited during peak hours.

Public Transport
From downtown San Diego, take MTS Route 30 towards Kearny Mesa. Disembark at the Genesee Ave & Balboa Ave stop. Walk north on Genesee Ave, then turn left onto Balboa Ave. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of Marian Bear Memorial Natural Park Trail. The Selwyn Monument is located within the park, so follow the trail signs to find it. A Compass Card or PRONTO app is required; a one-way fare is $2.50.
